Erectile Dysfunction

"Erection is a natural desire and one should have the ability to have erections at WILL and WISH"

Men with erectile dysfunction suffer from poor quality of life.

Initial treatment includes insertion of medicines such as Sildenafil and Tadalafil. There are options like using the vacuum pump device. Some patients benefit from giving self-injections of drugs such as Papaverine which causes erections . But all of this is the medical line of management.

For patients where none of this works and for those who are not willing to have this line of treatment, we insert penile prosthesis.

Semi-rigid / Malleable Penile Prosthesis

In this type of Penile Prosthesis, we insert 2 cylinders inside the penis, due to which there is an erection.

Men can bend the penis or hide the penis inside the underwear but the penis basically remains erect all the time.

This is the cheapest and most effective way of having an erection.

3 Piece Penile Prosthesis

A 3 Piece Penile Prosthesis involves – cylinders, which are inserted into the penis, a button which is inside the scrotum and, a reservoir which is inside the abdomen.

Whenever the man/the couple/the partner wants to have intercourse, he can just press the button control pump inside the scrotum which causes the water from the reservoir to go in the cylinder. This leads to a rock hard erection.

After the sexual intercourse, he can press the second button again which causes relaxation of the penis.

3 piece penile prosthesis is most physiological and comes most close to the natural mechanism of having an erection.
